As we learned from Brad Pitt’s vintage Champion shirt in “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” retro tees are having a moment. Now, according to Esquire, NASCAR’s throwback merchandise is the latest must-have fashion accessory.
In celebration of the 70th running of the Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway, NASCAR released a line of T-shirts that conjure up all the ’90s nostalgia. As a result, even consumers who have zero interest in car racing are clamoring to get their hands on the looks in order to get in on the ’90s action.

Esquire pointed out that celebrities like Shia LeBeouef and Jaden Smith have long been sporting the NASCAR merch, so it’s definitely a major trend.
NASCAR’s new collection features T-shirts with Dale Earnhardt, William Byron Hendrick, Chase Elliott Hendrick and more. And the graphics feature ’90s neons, eye-catching fonts and other retro embellishments.
For promotional apparel suppliers and distributors looking to take advantage of the ’90s comeback looks, consider adding some retro-inspired designs to your lineups, if you haven’t already. Who knows? Maybe celebs will start wearing your T-shirts next.
